Code It Fast Product Suite FAQs
Q. What is the difference between Code It Fast and your Encoder Pro Product?
A. Code It Fast is a simple code searching software that helps you find the code and description only. Encoder Pro has extensive search capabilities such as surgical cross coding, unbundling, and many more feature to help you in your coding. Encoder Pro is also a subscription product. You will receive twelve months of updates from the date of your purchase. If you have any specific questions please call 1-800-Ingenix (464.3649) (Have your customer number ready).
Q. Is your software compatible with Apple computers?
A. Ingenix software is NOT compatible with Apple computers.
Q. The serial number on the card is one long number but there are three boxes to enter it into. How should I enter my serial number?
A. As you enter the serial number it will move you from box to box automatically. If it doesn't, the first box has three characters, the second box has six characters, and the last box has six characters.
Q. Why do I get an error that says "Error trying to extract support files" when installing the program?
A. You may not have administrative rights to the machine, simply re-login as administrator and run the install program again.
The folder your computer uses as a temporary folder (often referred to as TMP or TEMP) is full. This may also be caused by a full hard disk. Free up some space in the TMP or TEMP file, or free up some hard disk space and try again.
Q. When I try to run the program I get a message that says "Company Information Not Found" or "Invalid Serial Number - Product was not installed correctly." How do I fix this?
A. Something wasn't installed properly. Reinstalling the program is the easiest way to correct this. If this doesn't resolve the problem call us at 800-765-6797 or email us at SCG-CustomerService-TechnicalSupport@ds.uhc.com and we can walk you through a manual fix.
Q. When I start the program a box pops up that says "Encoder Pro User Login". Why am I prompted by this and what do I do if I don't know my username and password?
A. User names and passwords are a feature of the multi-user version of the software. The User Login dialog box appears every time the application is launched. Once properly logged in, you are identified on the system and will have access to personal sticky notes and bookmarks. If this is the first time using the software, or you've forgotten your user name and password, enter a user name and a password between 4 and 10 characters long and press "Login". A box will pop up that says, "User was not found in the system. If you are a new user, enter your login information below. Or, select Cancel to return to the User Login dialog." At this point, simply press the "Login" button again and your user information will be created and saved in the system.
Q. Why can't I see everything in the tabular listing? It looks like part of it is cut off.
A. Make sure your screen resolution is set to 800x600. If your screen resolution is set to 800x600 check to see if your display is using "Large Fonts". Either of these settings can cause some of the information in the tabular listing to get cut off.
Q. When I Inserted the CD I got a message back that says "3.1.1 Not installed... Unknown version... Exiting..."
A. Download the "EproRegClean.exe" to your desktop and execute from there. Once that is finished re-insert the Encoder Pro CD into the CD-Rom drive.
Specific Issue with 3.1
When the screen resolution is set to 800x600, selecting any CPT™ code in the range of 43200-43272 will cause the tabular listing to begin scrolling rapidly. Adjust the screen resolution to 1024x768 and maximize the program. This will stop the rapid scrolling. This issue has been resolved in releases after 3.1.
