Medical Necessity

Everyone in care delivery should be aware of medical necessity, particularly when treating Medicare patients. CMS is moving to a new system that includes LCDs as well as LMRPs—we cover both. Each affected code alerts you with an LMRP (organized by CPT® code) or LCD icon.
